Applications for outreach volunteer positions are now open!
Badge Day is an opportunity for young Sparks, Brownies, and Girl Guides in the Kingston community to partake in a day of engaged learning about engineering and science. Volunteers should be prepared to design and film experiments, operate Google Classroom, collaborate well in a team setting, and interact with kids.
EngSci Day is another opportunity for students in Kingston to learn about engineering and science. Volunteers will design fun scientific experiments and participate in the filming and/or editing of engaging videos for a day-long virtual event in each semester.
Highschool outreach volunteers will participate in creating a video presentation discussing aspects of science and engineering programs in university, why they chose their programs, and university application advice. The presentation will be sent to high schools in and around Kingston so teachers can share it with their students.
Wingston Churchill volunteers will be responsible for recording one video every week of a science or engineering experiment and creating a detailed lesson plan for girls (grades 4-6) and their parents to follow at home.
